Fruit Map ("we", "us") is a collaborative platform for mapping fruit trees in public spaces. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you create an account we collect basic account information such as your name and email address.
When you contribute to the map we store the fruit tree markers you add, including their location, species information and any photos you attach.
We may also collect technical information needed to operate the service, such as device type and app version.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide and improve the app, allow you to manage your account, and support collaborative features such as adding and viewing fruit tree markers.
Fruit Map is a collaborative app: markers you contribute become visible to other members of the community so they can discover fruit trees and plants.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
We rely on third-party vendors to assist with hosting, analytics, authentication, mapping and app store functions. These vendors process data only as needed to provide their services.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time through the Settings tab in the app. Your personal data, such as your email and name, will be removed. Markers you previously added become anonymous and remain on the public map, preserving the collaborative value of the community’s work.

Fruit Map provides community-contributed information only. We do not verify the identification, safety or edibility of any plant or fruit shown on the map. Any decision to pick or consume fruit found through Fruit Map is made entirely at your own risk. See our Terms of Use for the full disclaimer.
International users
Fruit Map is used in many countries. We aim to handle personal data in accordance with the data protection laws that apply where you live, including the LGPD in Brazil and the GDPR in the European Union. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
