Fruit Map was born in 2015 at the University of Brasília, from a collaboration between Computer Engineering, Environmental Sciences and Marketing students. What started as an academic project became an internationally recognized initiative.
Today we are a community present in more than 55 countries, with over 40,000 fruit trees and urban gardens mapped — all contributed by people who believe cities can be edible ecosystems.
We promote urban sustainability, green economy and environmental education — one fruit at a time.
