Controller

Fruit Map acts as the controller of the personal data processed through the app and website. Contact: contact@fruitmapp.com.

What we process and why

Account data (name, email): processed to create and manage your account — legal basis: performance of a contract (LGPD art. 7, V).

Map contributions (markers, photos, locations of trees): processed to operate the collaborative map — legal basis: performance of a contract and legitimate interest (art. 7, V and IX).

Usage and technical data: processed to maintain security and improve the service — legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 7, IX).

Your rights as a data subject

Under articles 17–22 of the LGPD you have the right to: confirm whether we process your data; access your data; correct incomplete or outdated data; request anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data; request portability; obtain information about sharing; and revoke consent where processing is based on consent.

Data sharing and international transfers

We use service providers for hosting, analytics, authentication and mapping. Some providers may be located outside Brazil; in those cases, transfers follow the safeguards of LGPD chapter V.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described here. When you delete your account, your name and email are removed; markers you contributed remain on the map in anonymized form.

Users outside Brazil

If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction with its own data protection law (such as the GDPR or UK GDPR), you have equivalent rights — including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection — and the legal bases described above correspond to contract performance and legitimate interest under those laws.

Supervisory authorities

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may file a complaint with the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) or, if you live elsewhere, with the data protection authority of your own country.
